About CUSIO
CUSIO grew out of a way of working.
Throughout my career, I've worked around technical products, regulated industries, manufacturers, customers and commercial markets.
The job titles changed, but the problems often had something in common:
They didn't fit neatly into one box.
The problems were rarely just technical.
A technical issue could become a regulatory question.
A regulatory requirement could change the commercial opportunity.
A good product could struggle because the manufacturer didn't understand the local market.
And sometimes everyone involved understood their own part of the problem, but nobody was looking across the whole picture.
Over time, I found that one of the most useful things I could do was step back, understand what was really happening, bring the right people into the conversation and work through the problem until there was a practical way forward.
CUSIO grew from that way of working.
Experience from both sides of the table.
Geoff's career has crossed healthcare, medical devices, medical and industrial gases, technical products, product development, marketing, business development and general management.
That experience has involved working with manufacturers, customers, technical specialists and commercial partners — often at the point where technical requirements, regulation and commercial reality meet.
It has also meant seeing problems from different sides:
That combination of perspectives now sits behind the way CUSIO approaches problems.

Experience is useful when you know how to use it.
Experience isn't about having seen every problem before.
Often you haven't.
It's about recognising patterns, knowing which questions to ask, understanding what needs to be verified and knowing when another person's expertise needs to be brought into the conversation.
It also means being comfortable saying:
"I don't know yet. Let's find out."
That approach is important to CUSIO.
We would rather investigate something properly than provide an answer simply because one is expected.
Why CUSIO?
CUSIO is more than a business name. It describes five principles behind the way we want to work:
They aren't corporate values written for a wall. They're a simple reminder of how we want to approach the work.
Small by design. Connected by nature.
CUSIO is deliberately a small, hands-on business.
That means the person you speak with is involved in understanding the problem and helping work through it.
But being small doesn't mean working alone.
CUSIO works across relationships with manufacturers, technical specialists, engineers, service providers, commercial partners and industry experts.
When additional capability is needed, the objective isn't to pretend we have every answer internally. It's to involve the right people.
The capability can come from many places.
The thinking and connection are what bring it together.
Still curious?
Good.
Curiosity is where most useful conversations start.
If you're dealing with a technical question, commercial opportunity, regulatory issue or simply something that doesn't quite make sense yet, tell me what you're trying to work through.
We don't need to know the answer before we start the conversation.
